It has just been announced that The Pirate Bay is being sold to some no-name company and is going to 'go legit' and buckle under pressure from the content oligarchs.
Fuck. That. Noise.
Needless to say, we'll keep doing what we do here at the zetatracker. I am already cringing as we see how fast our traffic here will grow after everyone abandons TPB now. Big question: will the zetatracker come to be a broader-range tracker, or stay purely zoo-focused? It will be an interesting summer for sure!

I've set up a zetatracker account and group at the new (still in beta) web service TorrentTwitter. Not sure if it'll be useful or not, but we like to try new stuff firsthand and see how it goes.
I suppose you could do the same thing from a personal Twitter page - though the 'groups' concept is rather interesting at TorrentTwitter. Give it a try - post a few torrents there and we'll see how it goes. If anyone gets frisky, I'll gladly hand over the zetatracker account there for someone else to manage, in the future. |
